「ピノ・ノアール」っていうことはやっぱりブルゴーニュがトップでしょうか。「カルフォルニアに旨いワインが」という方も居られるでしょうね。NOISYも「ピノ」が大好きです。若くてぴちぴちしたピノもいいですが、熟成したピノは本当に素晴らしい！傑出したドメーヌ、造り手のものは言うに及ばず、探せば結構旨い物がありますよ。「デリケート」、「繊細」、そんな言葉がぴったり合う葡萄です。（そして時にパワー！） 　残念ながら全てをご紹介することは出来ませんが、是非とも熟成しつつあるワインや完熟状態のもの、若干下り坂のものもお試し下さい。下り坂といっても、ピノの逸品は素晴らしい！落ちかけの風情が何とも言えぬ表情を持っています。そしてなんといっても好みのはっきり分かれる葡萄ですし、微妙な味わいの変化が素晴らしいのですから。 　それとワインの評価で有名な先生方の、ピノに対する（特にブルゴーニュ）評価が低いのが気になりますね。なんでエ＊＊＊アのあのワインが９＊点で、この素晴らしいピノが８＊点なのか全然解りませーん。本当にテイスティングしたのかなあ、それとも文化の違いか．．等と勘ぐってしまいますが．．、とにかく、ピノ万歳！！

This is a justifiably fabled vintage of La Tache, but owners of it should not push their luck. The 1978 has been fully mature for over five years. The color is a murky plum with some lightening at the edge. The wine offers an exquisite nose of smoked meats, jammy black fruits, floral scents, minerals, and damp forest-like aromas, as well as that unmistakable DRC prune-like character that comes from over-ripe fruit. Full-bodied and fleshy, with a chewy mid-palate revealing exceptional opulence, this silky-textured, smooth wine possesses high alcohol and a viscous finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. In magnum, this wine might be perfect! Superripe aromas of raspberry, strawberry and spring flowers. Sweet, lush and silky but with lovely vivacity and solid underlying backbone. Full but not at all weighty, and very complex in the middle palate. Finishes with explosive length, with sweeter tannins than those of the Ruchottes. It is clearly a fabulous wine with extraordinary concentration and presence on the palate and a mind blowing, utterly compelling finish. Fortunately, given the large production in 1988, there are 1,806 cases to be allocated around the world. My notes show an anticipated maturity date of 1995-2015. It is an incredible wine..   The prices for the wines of the Domaine de la Romanee-Conti may be exorbitant but the quality of the wines produced in the eighties is truly remarkable. The 1988s are celestial wines selling at stratospheric prices. The 1988 production was twice what it was in 1987, but the same as in 1985. The 1988s are fuller-bodied, deeper, more concentrated wines than the superb 1987s, and will need some time in the cellar to shed their generous amounts of tannin. The only vintage they can be favorably compared with is the 1985 vintage, and the 1985s were a great deal more forward and flattering to taste when young. There is more depth in the 1988s than in the 1986s or even the superb 1980s (which turned out to be the finest wines made in that underrated vintage). Splendidly perfumed (a trait shared by all their 1986 wines), it showed great depth and richness but plenty of mouthsearing tannins that suggest it needs until 1995-1996. It is quite a big, bold, dramatic red burgundy (as all this domaine's wines tend to be), but it would be a shame to drink it before 1995. This is among the few superstars of this vintage, but the 1986 is not for drinking soon-patience is most definitely required. Pure, highly perfumed aromas of cassis, licorice, minerals and flowers. Wonderfully precise and taut in the mouth, with lovely sweetness and terrific verve. A delicate musky quality adds to the wine's complexity.
